Summer Adventures #1

Our city is a rather interesting place. So much modernization in it and yet it's still old, which is something I really love about it. There's so much contrast. What I adore about it the most though is seeing the old buildings/architecture, like hotels from the 1920s or vintage bookstores and imagining the interesting stories they must contain. It fills you with so much nostalgia. To imagine all the different eras these buildings have stood through, it's just amazing.

Anyways, I've also been out working in my little vegetable garden. I'm thrilled I was able to grow some vegetables this year. Last year I tried growing some strawberries, but the squirrels got to them. However, my sunflowers were unfortunately eaten by some creature....*sighs*.... I do have one sunflower on the porch though and it's so cool to see it solar tracking throughout the day.

We have this hummingbird that comes around to our garden everyday. I was able to get a video of it getting a quick snack yesterday.
